With 3 boys, staying on top of hygiene can be a chore as a parent! They want to rush showers, skip hair washing, wear the same shirt twice, race through teeth brushing! They are walking stinky germ baths! Even at 11, our youngest son is always being reminded what proper brushing looks like so I make sure he hasn’t been slacking when brushing.
I can’t brush his teeth for him at the age (that is too helicopter for me), so I just visit the topic often. “Let me see your retainer! Is it clean for your nighttime wear?” “You were only in that bathroom 30 seconds, there is no way your teeth are clean! Back in…” Then at Dentist visits I always ask his Dentist to go over (again) where he might be missing due to tartar finds and how to get those spots better. They are always happy to back me up so I am not the only nagging that they are not brushing properly.

We all use one. Especially for my son who never brushes right
We brush/floss and visit the dentist regularly.
Perfect steps to follow
I brush my teeth twice a day and see the dentist twice a year. I struggle with remembering to floss my teeth regularly.
I am honestly a horrible flossed too
I’ve been trying to floss more regularly. I also am trying to whiten my teeth.
I need whitening too! I don’t smoke, never have but do drink coffees so they are less white than I’d like
I have been dealing with teeth issues my whole life. I just have bad teeth. I am under a dentist care at present. I would love to win this.
Me too. Cavity free now my childhood fillings aren’t holding well so been redoing those over time
Write a reminder on a post it and stick it on the bathroom mirror to remind yourself to floss.
I need to do this!
i brush teeth daily, just struggle a bit to remember to floss regularly
You are not alone in that struggle
I think the other than brushing twice a day is flossing I keep floss in my purse, next to my chair in my living room and in my nightstand next to my bed as well as in my bathroom that way I have it readily available to use whenever I need it…….
Maybe having floss in different locations would help me remember to floss more
I brush my teeth 2-3 times daily. I’m not that good with flossing.
Everyone in my house forgets to floss quite often. It seems like quite a few people have a similar problem remembering it,
Make it a part of your daily routine and it will become a habit. Once you begin to do it regularly, you naturally want to continue it.
Oral care is so important. My dentist tells me that your teeth tell you how the rest of your body is doing.
My struggle has always been paranoid of every little thing. I learned that if your gums feel ‘itchy’ or off, then you might be suffering from a vitamin deficiency.
I had been trying to find a floss i like and a tooth brush too. I need to floss often with having veneers
I like to add baking soda to my toothpaste because my teeth look and feel cleaner.
My daughter is 11 and no matter how well she brushes she gets cavities. It’s frustrating because she feels like she is failing, but it’s just her dads side, they have bad teeth,
I’ve been having GUM issues — my dentist suggested that I purchase a water flosser. So easy to use and works so much better than string floss.
I wish there was an easier way to maintain my oral health while pregnant. I floss and brush the same as before I was pregnant but my oral health seems to suffer during pregnancy.
I brush daily and floss as needed. I try not to overdo it because my teeth are sensitive.
We get our teeth cleaned every 6 months and any problems are caught early.
I tend to brush too hard. A Oral B electric would certainly help.
The biggest struggle in my home is flossing! I know you should floss at least once a day, but my kiddos hate it and I am yet to find a fun way to get them to them floss daily! I’m a little guilty myself of skipping, but I know I have to make it part of my bedtime routine.
Always try to brush and floss after meals and keep your 6 month dental appointments.
I brush and floss twice a day.We switch to a new toothbrush monthly, or after being sick.
with the grandkids i try to make it fun to brush before bedtime,,they have a special place they like to sleep but arent allowed to until they brush,so its fun to see who goes first
Oral hygiene is very important to teach young children. My daughter had braces because she had crooked teeth and an extra set of eye teeth that were removed She has always brushed regularly. We struggled to get our son to brush regularly, but he didn’t. He has a gap between his front teeth but we didn’t put braces on him because the dentist said if he didn’t rush regularly, with braces he would have a lot more cavities.
I have never owned an electric toothbrush but have read and heard great things!
Let your kid pick out their own toothbrush and toothpaste. A timer helps.
Dental health is so important to me. I brush/floss twice daily and have regular dental check-ups.
This is really nice. You should brush at least twice a day and Calcium is an element that is known to strengthen bones and teeth. You can also try chewing on citrus fruits that are rich in vitamin C, as this can boost the health of your gums.
We make sure brushing and flossing are part of our everyday routine. Sticking to routine times helps keep us on track.
I use xylitol every day and Closys mouthwash. These products really make a difference!
I brush and floss daily. and my grandchildren have a timer they use to make sure they brush 2-3 minutes.
I have an effort to remember to floss and to get the kids flossing too. Perhaps just using a thorough rinse is enough. I hope so
We try to brush our teeth twice a day and we also use dental floss.
My young grandson has been brushing his teeth everyday that I watch him. We started it early and just worked it into the routine and told him what a big boy he was. Seems to work most of the time.
