I have partnered with SoCal Curls for this feature. They sent me product.
SoCal Curls for Curly Hair in Under an Hour
How is this possible? It requires one SoCal Curls wrap and a microwave. That’s it. Now let me share my experience and tips for the best results that I found. In this post my sister offered to try this first. She has much thicker hair than I do and it shows the steps and her results. I had to add a step for two for my super fine hair.
How to use SoCal Curls
Step 1 is choosing the tie of choice. For very thick hair you can use 2 ties at once. Don’t worry. They are very comfortable. I have the Retro Red.
Step 2 is heating the tie(s) in the microwave for 30 seconds
Step 3 is wrapping hair strands around the head wrap. You can see our photos for a visual and I highly recommend watching their YouTube video for instructions.
Step 4 is waiting 30 minutes (or longer such as overnight for even better curl if you have long hair)
Step 5 is pulling out the wrap-it’s super smooth and if you are like me you fully finish with a sea salt spray for curls.
Benefits to SopCal Curls
No heat! That is the best benefit of all. Your hair keeps it’s health and as a wrap there is no breakage of your hair either. It is so quick and you can wrap and forget about it.
My fine hair tips
With my very fine hair I first used the wrap with large sections of hair. So when I did not get the results I wanted despite how pretty my sisters hair turned out. I contacted them. They advised I use smaller sections and use a curl spray before I wrap. I followed their advise and decided to keep my hair wrapped longer -overnight.
I would forget I had it on my head! It is so lightweight even with hair wrapped. I love my retro red design so it is really fun to wear. The results? I got the bouncy curls just s my sis did!
