In the middle of the 21 mile trail that runs along the gorgeous view in the foothills of Mt. Rainier sits my small town. Most of the newer neighborhoods enter along this trail line. Because our schools also line the trail through our town the majority of kids from kindergarten to high school ride, walk or scooter to school. You will find bike racks overflowing with bikes on nice days, so many there is not enough room along the bike bars so they lay around the grass.

Below is my son’s view when he walks or rides to school. How do you not get out on the trail and do the mile walk with a view like that?! Being in a small town where everyone walks and bikes around I have noticed that scooters are becoming more and more frequent. The older kids and teens seem to love using electric scooters.

Our trail crosses over neighborhood entrances and with kids trying to get to and from school activities and adults leaving to work at the same hours, having bright LED lighting is an important safety feature.

When it comes to scooters and bikes, quality parts are important as well so the rider is not left stranded. This electric scooter has solid tires that absorb shock when you’re riding on roads and sidewalks. The Jetson Quest also has disc brakes so you get the stopping power you need.

For the mechanical riders, you’ll love this electric scooter engine. The 250W hub motor will help you get up to 15mph. Operating it is as easy as pushing off with your foot and pressing down on the thumb throttle. That’s it and it gets you where you need to go – school, work, across campus – in no time.

You have top loaders, front loaders, steam options, color choices, energy options. We just bought a brand new home this summer and we bought our new refrigerator, washer and dryer from Best Buy. How did we choose where and what to buy?

We knew the finish colors we wanted, we knew we wanted energy efficient because we get credit with our utilities and we wanted the best price and rebate options. Best Buy was the best and I am not saying that because I am a Best Buy blogger. Meet DASH Robot from Best Buy

Met DASH! You can find him sitting on the shelves of your local Best Buy store. That big center eye will look at you with almost a pity stare because he needs a friend. He knows that kids love making friends so he comes with a free app that your kids can easily learn to use so he can become the robot friend of your child’s imagination.

The first thing your new friend needs when he gets home is a name. The first task in the app after you download it is to state his name and my son thought long and hard about this. He loves Pokemon, soccer and sports so given all the possibilities he named his new friend, Dash. I did ask him how he possibly came up with such a name and he said, “…it is obvious he wants to be called Dash so I want to name him Dash. It’s all he knows.” That makes sense I suppose.

Just as no one would ever move to a new home without some luggage, this Wonder Workshop DASH comes in his box with a charging cord and 2 building brick connectors that can attach to his sides. You need a compatible device such as a bluetooth enabled phone or tablet with access to Google Play or the Apple Store for the app download.

DASH has so many fun features to help your child develop, learn, create and problem solve. The main goal for your child’s new robot is to introduce your child to the world of robotics. He (or she) responds to voice commands and can sing and dance on command.
