In the middle of the 21 mile trail that runs along the gorgeous view in the foothills of Mt. Rainier sits my small town. Most of the newer neighborhoods enter along this trail line. Because our schools also line the trail through our town the majority of kids from kindergarten to high school ride, walk or scooter to school. You will find bike racks overflowing with bikes on nice days, so many there is not enough room along the bike bars so they lay around the grass.
Below is my son’s view when he walks or rides to school. How do you not get out on the trail and do the mile walk with a view like that?! Being in a small town where everyone walks and bikes around I have noticed that scooters are becoming more and more frequent. The older kids and teens seem to love using electric scooters.

A great scooter in that mid-price range is the Jestson Quest Electric Scooter and you can find it at Best Buy. Best Buy has many quality scooters and this one I am featuring really has all you want for riding day or night at a great value.

For a lot of the school year it is dark early. By the time after school sports practice or clubs end it is already getting dark in the late fall and winter. The Jetson Quest Electric Scooter‘s headlight and taillight have LED lighting that is ultra bright which is great for visibility and safety of riding after sundown or before sunrise. Our trail crosses over neighborhood entrances and with kids trying to get to and from school activities and adults leaving to work at the same hours, having bright LED lighting is an important safety feature.
When it comes to scooters and bikes, quality parts are important as well so the rider is not left stranded. This electric scooter has solid tires that absorb shock when you’re riding on roads and sidewalks. The Jetson Quest also has disc brakes so you get the stopping power you need.

For the mechanical riders, you’ll love this electric scooter engine. The 250W hub motor will help you get up to 15mph. Operating it is as easy as pushing off with your foot and pressing down on the thumb throttle. That’s it and it gets you where you need to go – school, work, across campus – in no time.
The battery is rated to last you 18 hours between charge on average use. It will also hold anyone up to 220.5 pounds and is safe for ages 13 and older.

How about storage you may be thinking? Manual scooters just lay flat with the activation of a fold button so how do you store or carry the Jetson Quest Electric Scooter? Not much differently is the answer. As you can see below it folds up easily for storage in the trunk or even under your school or work desk.

If you compare the specs, style and safety features with other electric scooters you will love what this scooter has to offer for the price. Living near Seattle, electric bikes and scooters are gaining a ton of popularity among students and workers. We live near a lot of hills so having a motor on your rideable is so popular now and Best Buy has a lot to offer if you are looking for a no-gas, easy way to school or the office.

These scooters are great. I like how they fold flat for easy transport or storage.
The easier storage for a motorized scooter is great
Wow! I am loving this Jetson Quest Electric Scooter. Boys will surely love riding on this on their way to school!
So many kids have scooters and ride to school in my town
I love scooters as they are so convenient to ride. Also, the view is just breathtaking in the first pic! Who doesn’t love to ride a scooter with this view!
I’ve seen those in Los Angeles streets. Seemed super useful for office workers. But now I can see – many others can benefit as well.
This would be a good alternative for someone who can’t ride a bike.
This looks like an amazing scooter and love the beautiful pictures form your home town. I think it is super cool and would love to give one of these a try myself. My husband would love this too but I do have to say I like my bike because it gets me around but still provides exercise.
